WSC Awarded Contract by ANL for Development of VVER-1000 Training Modules for Ukraine University (Odesa and KPI) Training Simulators (3KEYMASTER Rivne Classroom Simulator)

WSC has been awarded our sixth task order under our Basic Ordering Agreement with Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) to enhance the full scope 3KEYMASTER Rivne VVER‑1000 simulators installed on the Odesa and KPI training simulators to support the addition of 5 new 3KEYITS lessons. The fully functional training simulators were delivered and installed at Odesa Polytechnic University (see photo) and at KPI in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

The previously installed 3KEYSTUDENT classroom-based training delivery platform, which includes WSC's Generic Pressurized Water Reactor (GPWR) full-scope simulator model with 3KEYMASTER Intelligent Tutoring System (3KEYITS) software and 11 Lessons, and the Rivne Unit 3 VVER-1000 Simulator Load were installed on local computers in the classroom to train university students in understanding the physical processes in PWR and VVER reactors under normal and transient conditions.

Under this new award, WSC will modify the Rivne VVER-1000 simulator model to support the addition of new 3KEYITS lessons. WSC will develop the lesson/training modules using 3KEYITS and train the Odesa and KPI instructors such that they can develop VVER-1000 training modules (ITS Lessons) with the 3KEYMASTER Classroom training simulators in the future.
